Sponsored by National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, which is celebrating 25 years of service this month, the initiative seeks to encourage millions of women—especially older women and those in underserved communities—to receive a mammogram and become empowered in the fight against breast cancer. Mammogram facilities that would normally charge full price will provide free or low-cost exams for women on Oct. 19, and some will be extending the FREE test to other days – regardless of insurance coverage!
Visit the following websites below to learn where to find the nearest participating facilities near you.

Breast cancer is the second most common type of cancer (after skin cancer) detected among women in the United States. The chance of a woman developing breast cancer in her lifetime is a little less than 1 in 8. Routine screenings are an important step in the early detection and successful treatment of breast cancer.
