Be in Control of Your Curls

Frazzled by your dry, frizzy, or uncontrollable curls?

coils and curls

The key to finding success with that hair type is to keep the frizz under control and define the curls and coils that are in the hair. Keeping hair moisturized and using styling products that will lock in the natural curl pattern into the hair without encouraging any frizz is the answer!

Start with combing out the tangles with a wide tooth comb in the shower while Nutrient Replenishing Conditioner is still in your hair, most damage done to your hair occurs during the wet combing stage as hair is very elastic when it is wet and stretches easily. Apply Condition & Sculpt liberally to your wet hair and work it through with your fingers. Condition & Sculpt will dry with a little crunchy hold, add Hair Nourishing Cream for a softer hold and shine. Does your hair shrink when wet? Then add liberal amount of Curl Defining Cream to enhance curls and reduce shrinkage. The next day, lightly spritz hair with Revitalizing Leave-In Conditioner to rejuvenate the curls as well as reactivate the products that are in your hair.

Shake Your Pride!

Pride leads to a loss of contact with reality and an overestimation, it will deceive you. Pride makes a possessive, greedy, angry person, one who is never satisfied; it will bring your downfall. Humility gives true life and leads to development while pride festers and stunts your growth.

way too muchThe thing about pride is it that it can have a tremendous impact on how you view and feel about yourself. It can affect your behavior with others, what sorts of things you do for a living, how you dress, the way you talk to people. It comes down to measuring yourself against everyone else, instead of looking inward and discovering the things that truly make you happen.

Each episode in life adds up. The more times you succumb out of pride, the bigger the load you carry, and the more difficult it becomes to break out of your traditional ways of doing things. The obvious problem here is, you could wind up living your whole life carrying these burdens that pride has dumped on your shoulders, and never be as happy as you could and should be!

How to Keep Your Child’s Scalp Moisturized

Children suffer from dry scalp just like mom and dad. Hair is a part of the largest organ of the human body, the skin. The scalp is skin that we don’t see, and sometimes don’t consider, because it’s covered with hair. Proper care of the scalp begins with adequate hydration; moisture is essential for curly hair!

The fix is easy – nourish the scalp! The best way to keep your scalp hydrated and nourished is with products that help replenish the lost moisture. Remember, water equals moisture. Mist hair and scalp with water, spritz on Revitalizing Leave-In Conditioner, then apply Nourish & Shine (or Scalp Nourishing Serum) to scalp to retain the moisture. If their hair is in cornrows, make sure to regularly rehydrate the hair and scalp.

Remember not to over wash and to avoid detergent based shampoos that hard on both hair and scalp, opt for sulfate-free options like Hydrating Invigorating Shampoo SLS-Free.
