What’s Your Favorite Jane Carter Solution Product?

Here at Jane Carter Solution (JCS), we carry natural hair care products for natural hair, relaxed hair, curly hair, healthy hair, and damaged hair. There is literally something for EVERY hair type and texture.

Everyone has a favorite Jane Carter Solution product and an interesting story behind how it became your favorite – we want to hear about it! My absolute favorite happens to be Condition & Sculpt (followed by Revitalizing Leave-In Conditioner) for its light hold and ability combat frizziness. Is it Curl Defining Cream because it prevents shrinkage, Nourish & Shine because it’s the best multi-purpose product on the market, or maybe Twist & Lock simply because it’s wax free?

  • 36% only go to Black salons
  • 33% visit Black and Dominican salons
  • 23% soley prefer Dominican salons
  • 5% opt for White salons
  • 3% go to Egyptian salons

We’re curious….where do you go to get your hair done and why?

Relaxers and Weaves vs Natural Hair…the Debate

Here at Jane Carter Solution, we support a woman’s right to express herself through her hair as long as it’s healthy….natural, relaxed, weaved, colored, and locs. Hair is hair, beautiful in any and all ways. We are aware that some women have ill feelings towards weaves and even relaxed hair, we’re curious as to why.

Here is a link an article written by John W. Fountain.

Happiness Happens

I’m hoping that today you’ll find lots of smiles….everywhere, on everyone. No matter the circumstance or situation because today is Happiness Happens Day! It’s not-so-secret that happy people have a way of finding the silver lining even in the darkest clouds.

Commit to spending the day recognizing and expressing happiness - listen to others speak about their happiness, and do not rain on their parade. Happiness is contagious - so if you’re happy, tell someone. If someone else is happy, listen to them. Let’s not forget that we can create a little happiness in the lives of others; pay someone’s bus or subway fare, take up a donation for your favorite charity, or simply tell a stranger in passing to have a great day.

Remember, happiness is a present attitude not a future condition or destination.

National Farmers’ Market Week

Celebrate the 12th anniversary of Farmers’ Market Week, August 7 -13, 2011!

Farmers Market’s are more personable than traditional grocery stores, allowing you ask questions about the produce/flowers - from which vegetables and fruit are in peak season to how has the weather affected crops. Some markets, like Sunflower Farmers Market, carry additional items for your shopping convenience….like Jane Carter Solution products! (smile)

Here are a few suggestions:

  • Come Prepared - Bring your own basket or bags for your purchases and make sure to have cash.
  • Be an Ealry Bird - The earlier you visit the market the greater your selection will be.
  • Sample - Most stands will allow you to samples some of the fruit and vegetables, shop around for the best tasting

Make sure to visit and support your local Farmers’ Market!
