Care For Your Edges

Our edges are disappearing, literally. I know, I know…no one wants to discuss this sensitive issue but I must speak up now before it’s too late! Breakage is caused by pulling the hairline too tight or the result of chemical services that were not rinsed thoroughly. Let’s start with the weave; when you are wearing a weave, leave your edges out. This is the best way to make the weave look most natural but PLEASE remember. Please remember that your edges are not part of the weave…..and the weave is not part of your hair. Keep them separate when caring for your weave in the maintenance stage by brushing your edges away from the weave, toward your face softly. Once your weave is styled, add a little Jane Carter Hair Nourishing Cream to your edges for manageability and brush back with a soft brush. Relaxer users must not only ensure that their hair has been properly rinsed but also should protect the hair at night. A silk scarf or a satin pillow case should be used to protect your delicate hair line overnight. |
