Tracee Ellis Ross hosted the 2011 Black Girls Rock! at New York’s Paradise Theater on Saturday October 15th. A wonderful star-studded event of inspirational tales, music, and fellowship wrapped up in a night of total celebration!

The goal of the evening was to promote the endless possibilities and accomplishments of black women. The message is geared toward young girls, promising them a future of success that comes from hard work, confidence and determination. With all of the poor media attention black women receive, Beverly Bond and BET sought out to cut through the negative and create constructive messages for our young black girls.

Their goal was achieved.
