How Far Are You Willing to Go?

success

To achieve anything, you must be prepared to dabble on the boundary of disaster.
-Stirling Moss

We all have a dream life that’s there for the taking; it’s just waiting on us. You have more influence on your success that you might think, it all depends on how far you willing to go. Pursue what you love, plan for it, and be willing to sacrifice for it.

A sacrifice is an act of giving up something valued for the sake of something else regarded as more important or worthy. The first sacrifice should be the desire to remain comfortable. What are you willing to sacrifice next, fear of failure? Considerations may prevent you from moving forward. Roadblocks may be an obstacle or you may be able to go around them.

Be clear with yourself about what exactly is holding you back so that you can easily and consciously choose a course of action…because when it comes right down to it, you will either make your dreams come true or not.

Natural hair ladies from all over Atlanta gathered last night at Whole Foods Market in Buckhead to “dish” about hair with Jane Carter! The event space was filled to capacity, and for good reason! Jane Carter, the creator of the Jane Carter Solution hair care line is extremely knowledgeable in her field, which shows itself in the quality of her products (My interview with Jane Carter on the site). Jane along with the Tress Talk gang shared numerous tips related to natural hair care, covering tips like moisturizing the hair, getting hair color, trimming and transitioning from relaxed to natural hair. They also had three models for the event, where they showed three different twist-out styles that you could achieve using products from the Jane Carter Solution line. The ladies’ hair looked fabulous! Of course I shot video of the event as well, so be sure to stay posted to my YouTube channel for that footage. There was a wealth of great information shared last night that I look forward to sharing with you all! A big thank you goes to Jane Carter for hosting such a wonderful event and being so generous in providing product samples we were given on our way home (perfect purse size goodies! – my fav is the spray leave-in conditioner!) as well as with the helpful tips she shared. Kudos to the ladies of Tress Talk as well, who did an awesome job in helping style the three models and sharing their own expertise as great hair stylists.

On Wednesday, April 6th, I had the pleasure of attending Hair Dish with Jane Carter at Whole Foods Buckhead. This event was a pure treat; Jane of Jane Carter Solution, shared the "dish" on all things natural hair.

To start off the evening, Jane Carter introduced herself and her product line, Jane Carter Solution. She then brought up Tress Talk who demonstrated different hairstyles & how to achieve them while using Jane Carter Solution products.

Throughout the presentation Jane Carter took questions from the audience. She tackled topics such as trimming, dry scalp & maintaining moisture in natural hair. Jane’s answers were candid, knowledgeablt and honest.

At the end of the evening each participent, including myself, walded away with more hair care knowledge and a great gift bag, containg samples of Jane Carter Solution’s Hydrating Invigorating Shampoo, Nutrient Replenishing Conditioner, & the new Curl Defining Cream.

wrap n rollessence

We are once again honored to be in Essence Magazine. April’s issue mentions our Wrap & Roll in their Know & Tell section with Senior Beauty Editor Tasha Turner.

Wrap and Roll is the best soft mousse, setting and wrapping product available on the market today. It dries clean and soft without leaving any residue. Great for dry color-treated or damaged hair, the natural glycerides, essential oils and moisturizers leave your hair soft and shiny. Cut dryer time in half by applying Wrap & Roll liberally to wet hair, then wrap/set and dry as usual or let it dry naturally.

Smile, Breathe, and Go Slowly

let go

When you try to control everything, you enjoy nothing!

By obsessing with control, you block the good that wants to come your way. In trying to hold onto what is familiar, we limit our ability to experience joy in the present.

We attach our happiness to people, circumstances, and things; holding on to them so tightly, we almost begin to obsess about "maintaining" them. Worrying ourselves sick over the thought of losing them and slide into a depression when something changes - a layoff, a break up or divorce, or growing apart from a friend.

When you stop trying to control the world around you, you give it the freedom to fulfill you without the power to destroy you. It takes great strength to surrender and allow the creativity of the universe to reveal itself.

Letting go is letting happiness in!

Love your Hair! Jane
