Men’s Hair Care Tips

Hair care is for EVERYONE! Men also need a regimen of products, beyond just styling, to address dryness, fragility, style and hair loss.

A healthy scalp is vital, it promotes healthy hair growth. Hair Regimen 4 not only conditions and moisturizes dry hair and scalp but it includes a scalp treatment that stimulates hair growth in those thinning areas. It’s an in and out the shower kind of treatment, it will easily fit into your existing routine.

  • Scalp Renew – pre shampoo scalp treatment to stimulate hair growth by cleansing and exfoliating the scalp
  • Moisture Nourishing Shampoo – cleanses hair and scalp
  • Nutrient Replenishing Conditioner – leaves hair stronger and with greater elasticity
  • Revitalizing Leave-In Conditioner – seals vital humectants into the hair
  • Nourish & Shine – reduces dryness and adds shine to hair
  • Scalp Nourishing Serum – a scalp nourisher that soothes dry scalp

Remember - fragile, brittle, dry hair is susceptible to breaking and dry scalp prevents healthy hair growth. Play an active role in your hair care!

The Positive Power of the Uncertain

Have you opened your eyes to the beautiful possibility in all uncertainty?

“Uncertainty and mystery are energies of life. Don’t let them scare you unduly, for they keep

boredom at bay and spark creativity.” –R.I. Fitzhenry

The process of uncertainty is life. Uncertainty can be challenging but ultimately it’s what keeps life meaningful. Uncertainty is…stressful and exciting, fear invoking and empowering, unnerving and confidence building. In order to acquire anything in the universe, you have to relinquish your attachment to it – it’s the Law of Detachment. Deepak describes it this way…in detachment lies the wisdom of uncertainty…in the wisdom of uncertainty lies the freedom from our past, from the known, which is the prison of past conditioning. It fosters in us a willingness to step into the unknown, which is the field of all possibilities.

Challenge yourself to condition your mind to realize that uncertainty leads to extraordinary opportunity and potential. Becoming comfortable with uncertainty is one of the key ingredients to success.

Remember, uncertainty is the moment where all possibility and potential exists!

What a glorious day to celebrate the love you give and receive

This Valentine’s Day, I ask you to think outside of the box, adjust your perspective on “love”. This day is not merely for those within a relationship, this day is about the love you give and receive in your life period; your children, your parents, your friends, your pets and anyone else whom you may love or receive love.

My single gals don’t fall into the trap of spiraling into loneliness today with all of the fluff around you. Remember, loneliness is not about being by yourself. It’s more about that faulty notion that the rest of the world is having a party and you weren’t invited. Specifically today, you’ll set yourself up to feel lonely if you dwell on the happy and loving people around you and see yourself as somehow failing to meet that standard.

Love is a beautiful thing, and by changing the way you look at it (single or not), you might find that it’s been waiting for you all along.

Happy Valentine’s Day to ALL!

Beauty + Snow = the PERFECT Snow Day

Many of us in the Northeast are preparing for the possibility of more snow at the end of the week and into the weekend…ohhh the joy! Wondering what to do to keep you from having cabin fever? Turn off the lights, burn some scented, relaxing candles and slip into some comfy clothes – it’s beauty time!

You can recreate a day of decadence right in your own abode. Deep-conditioning and a sugar body scrub are on the menu for the day:

Deep-Conditioning

Healthy, fabulous hair sometimes takes work. No matter how you go about your hair care routine the best miracle worker for keeping hair strong, hydrated and soft is a powerful deep conditioner. Jane Carter Solution’s Nutrient Replenishing Conditioner doubles as a deep conditioner. It’s perfect for all hair types and textures and contain ingredients that bond to hair’s cortex, increasing moisture level and helping hair to become healthier and more manageable.

DIY Sugar Scrub

During winter, exfoliation is very important to get rid of dry flaky skin. Sugar scrubs are easy to make and can be used on hands, body and feet. Once dry skin has been exfoliated, hydrate with Jane Carter Solution’s Nourish & Shine to seal in moisture.

To make a sugar scrub:

  • small container
  • pour in sugar about 1/2 way, then pour in olive oil or grape seed oil until it just covers the sugar
  • mix
  • take in to the shower, spread it on your body, gently rub and then rinse

Great Grammy Hair

Talented musicians and artists, great performance, well deserved awards…but let’s talk about what matter – the ensemble and the tresses. (I know, you were thinking the same thing!)

Here we go:

  • Beyone channeled her inner Audrey Hepburn in a color blocked catsuit and peep-toe heels. A crimson lip accented her face and smooth, low ponytail. Use Jane Carter Solution Hair Nourishing Cream to blowout and Natural Hold Spray Gel to tame any flyaways.
  • Jennifer Lopez slither down the red carpet in this sexy number straight off the runway! The ankle accents and heavy wrist jewelry was simply delicious in conjunction wither sleek topknot. Use Jane Carter Solution Wrap & Roll mixed with Condition & Sculpt for hold and shine when putting hair up.

What was your favorite look of the night and were there any hairstyles you’ll duplicate?

Living in the moment is all about living like there’s no tomorrow. To do this, you must realize beauty in every moment, and in everyday activities!

I recognize and appreciate the infinite potential of this very moment.

At times it can seem that life contains an endless supply of days…then something changes, the world you knew suddenly changes. It is in this moment comes that you realize life fades because life is happening now – right now. You are only guaranteed this very moment, now is a commodity that we all should embrace.

Live life to the fullest, each and every second that you are granted.

  • Learn to forgive yourself & others; embrace unconditional love.
  • Fully embrace now, no matter what the situation.
  • Forget the past and don’t concern yourself with the future, be present today.
  • Be others-centered.
  • Participate in life instead of watching life.
  • Don’t sweat the small stuff.
  • Keep your spirit free, let go.
  • Do what you love.
  • Do what scares you.
  • Trust yourself.
  • Just be.

How are you living your life to the fullest today?
