Life’s a Beach

Life is you and your thoughts. Sometimes we are left with those seeming insecurities that plague our thoughts; it seems like so many things rising up to overwhelm and scuttle our dreams but that’s life – it’s a teacher that prefers the rugged route to impact you with the best learning opportunity BUT only if you chose to see it that way. The quest to understand the meaning of life has haunted humanity since the dawn of existence; seeking happiness as if it can be purchased off a shelf in a store.

Happiness starts in stillness; the silent but profound presence underneath your bubbling thoughts. It is a place where you are free of any worries and mental chatter; you are connecting with the deepest part of you, it is where you find bliss. This isn’t religious and it isn’t only reserved for those who are “special”; anyone can access it and you will come to rely on it, becoming a constant in your life and returning when you need peace and solace.

It doesn’t matter what transpires around you, your sanctuary is within you. From the outside, it seems that nothing has changed but from the inside out – you have! You release expectations, cling less to outcomes and learn to take nothing personally.

Nurture your emotional wellbeing, discover the harmony with yourself and kick-back and enjoy the sun….remember, life’s a beach and you’re just playing in the sand!

Resurgence of the Summer Hat

Floppy hats compliment carefree style; the perfect accessory to basking in the sun with your toes playing in the sand! Nothing screams easy breezy summer days and warm summer nights like a fabulous summer hat.

Jane Carter Solution11

Not only a fashion must have but also the perfect way to shield your hair from the scorching rays of the sun. It’s during this time that the rise in temperature tends to dry out hair leaving it lifeless, dry, and brittle. Underneath the hat, your hair should be protected by the products that you use; here are three tips using Jane Carter Solution products:

  • Add Hydrate Quench to your hair daily. This step is especially key for chemically processed hair because it tends to interact with the summer sun resulting in brittleness, color change, and breakage.
  • Apply Nourish & Shine liberally to your hair before taking a dive into chlorinated water or sea water. It will act as a seal to protect your hair from absorbing chlorine or salt which is extremely drying.
  • Rinse your hair immediately after swimming. As soon as you get home, shampoo with Moisture Nourishing Shampoo; it will cleanse the hair of any residue and replenish the moisture.

Enjoy the summer sun!

Cure Dry Summer Skin

Dehydrated, flaky, dull skin and lips are just a few of the joys that summer brings. The scorching summer sun followed by arctic-like air conditioning temperatures can leave your skin irritated, rough, dry and itchy.

nourish & shine

Most of us reach for that bottle of lotion to cure the symptoms, but the ingredients list on most brand-name lotions usually reads like a science experiment. (eeeek!) Get back to basics with an all-natural fix that will quench your skin without chemical additives…Jane Carter Solution Nourish & Shine to cure your summer solstice winter related skin issues.

Don’t forget to feed your skin from the inside out with a diet rich in magnesium, essential fatty acids, vitamin C, and beta-carotene naturally feeds your skin and makes it less prone to dryness. Make an effort to “feed your skin” with a meal plan that includes dark chocolate, salmon, and other fatty fish, oranges, mango, and carrots.

No Tears

Does your child dread getting her hair done; going to the extreme of running to avoid you and your wide tooth comb? The fact that they are running is a clear indication that the way their hair is being “done” is painful, making the process stressful for all involved (especially YOU) when it doesn’t have to be.

They key to making the process less painful for your little one and preventing breakage is MOISTURE. I know we’ve discussed this before but I want to remind you that moisture means water, not oil…and Jane Carter Solution products are packed with the moisture that hair needs!

  1. Shampoo hair with Creamy Conditioning Cleanser, condition with Nutrient Replenishing Conditioner, and rinse; gently towel dry.
  2. Spray and saturate the hair with Hydrate Quench
  3. Use dime-sized amount of Hair Nourishing Cream, working into hair from root to tip.
  4. Part hair into 4-6 sections and secure with snag-free ponytail holders.
  5. One section at a time, hold hair at the roots and begin combing thru the ends with a wide tooth comb. After the ends are tangle-free, release your hold and comb from root to tip.
  6. Repeat until all sections/the entire head is done.
  7. Style as usual.

Voila, untangled hair with no tears!

Perfect Ponytails

It is easy to just pull the hair back into a ponytail but the trick is how to make it look effortlessly sleek and chic! Ponytails can range from practical and simple, to gorgeous and chic and are perfect for a polished and summery look…and are totally foolproof if you follow the steps below.

Here’s what you’ll need to do:

Step 1

Wash and condition hair with your favorite Jane Carter Solution shampoo and conditioner.

Step 2

Apply Revitalizing Leave-In Conditioner to the ends, detangle gently.

Step 3

While your hair is still damp, finish your hair by using a few drops of Hair Nourishing Serum (or Hair Nourishing Cream for coarser textures) to seal your hair’s cuticle and eliminate frizz; blow dry.

Step 4

To add some height on the crown of your head, back-comb (or tease) this section of your hair a little bit before securing it into a ponytail.

Step 5

Using a bristle brush or small tooth comb, smooth your hair into the desired location of your ponytail – side, top of the head or by the nape of the neck – and secure ponytail.

Step 6

Control fly-aways and finish with a light misting of Natural Hold Spray Gel.

It’s that simple!

Move towards a Happier Future

It is necessary to let go of the past before you can face your future with any real sense of fearlessness. Those people who have accepted their mistakes/failures and moved on from times gone by are much better equipped to deal with what is going to happen in their future.

“Don’t be attached to how it should have happened, instead be committed to what will happen in your life.”

Eckhart Tolle believes we create and maintain problems because they give us a sense of identity. Perhaps this explains why we often hold onto our pain far beyond its ability to serve us. We replay past mistakes over and over again in our head, allowing feelings of shame and regret to shape our actions in the present.

Clinging to frustration and worry about the future diminishes our power. While you outwardly blame a person or situation, inwardly you beat yourself up for being a part of that relationship or experience. Whether you yell at yourself for getting involved or only ask yourself why you didn’t do things differently, you are still blaming yourself. You are giving yourself the message that you are not to be trusted.

Remove the ropes of resentment; start untying yourself, one by one. The resulting freedom will allow you to venture into the world, adventurous and happy. Every day is an opportunity to begin again. Each moment is an opportunity to begin again.
