Heat protective styling and using natural ingredients are a few obvious ways to avoid hair loss, but what about the not so obvious…like smoking. Smoking not only inhibits healthy hair growth but smoking early in life may raise a woman’s risk of developing breast cancer, according to research. |
- STRESS
Stress is a nasty culprit for many of things, especially sudden hair loss! So relax….and accept the things that you cannot change or while most likely never change. (insert Serenity Prayer here)
- SMOKING
Smoking ages and produces carbon monoxide which inhibits the blood’s capacity to carry oxygen. Seeing a healthy scalp and healthy hair follicles are so dependent on a rich supply of oxygenated blood which can deliver all the proteins and nutrients needed for new hair growth, it is only reasonable to conclude smoking and hair loss can be connected.
- BAD EATING PRACTICES
Just say NO! Depositing fatty, greasy, sugary foods into our systems, will only contribute to taste buds that momentarily feel good while quietly claiming our health and our tresses over an extended period of time. Trade for fruits, veggies, whole grains and WATER; your health, beauty and curls will thank you!
