Honor Success and Celebrate Victories
“One of the sanest, surest, and most generous joys of life comes from being happy over the good fortune of others.” - Robert Heinlein
Are you a cheerleader for other people, do you cheer them onto victory and feel happy when they achieve success, even if it is something you may want in your own life? Or does something good happening to someone else feel like something bad happening to you?
In today’s hyper-competitive society, we’ve become obsessed with our own victories. We are quick to post a victory on Facebook to ensure that everyone recognizes our success. Rarely, do we take the time to praise the triumphs of others. Finding joy in the success of others is the quickest way to your own success! Trust me on this, it feels good to release the fear that their success somehow negatively impacts you because it doesn’t - unless you say it does. Realize that there is more than enough to go around. Replace, why them and NOT me with them now, me next!
This week, challenge yourself to recognize and celebrate the victories of others…even your competition and watch the positive energy radiate back in your life.
Love Your Hair,
Jane
